Wiener dogs are smart. I, for instance, understand many human words and phrases. I understand “dinner time”, “walk”, “drive in the car”, “vet”, “kitty”, “badgers”, and many others. I do not understand “stop barking”, “get off the couch”, and “knock it off, you dumb dog”. One thing is for sure: I understand many things that my owner says, but he understands almost nothing that I say. I like him anyway!
