A Charm of Hummingbirds

I’ve noticed that humans have different names for groups of animals. A “herd” of bison, a “gaggle” of geese, a “colony” of badgers…DID SOMEBODY SAY BADGERS?? What was I talking about? Oh, yeah… a “school” of fish… that makes no sense at all! In fact, a lot of those names don’t make sense: A “band” of coyotes (they rarely play instruments), a “wisdom” of wombats (they are all pretty stupid), a “congress” of salamanders (well, maybe). Some make PERFECT sense: an “intrusion” of cockroaches, a “gulp” of swallows, a “clutter” of cats (I like that one).

So what would you call a group of wiener dogs? How about a “whirl” of wiener dogs? Wild dogs come in a “pack,” so how about a “party pack” of wiener dogs? I could go for that one! Or how about a “trouble” of wiener dogs? That was my master’s suggestion!

I have 4 mini doxies, I very very much agree with a “trouble of wiener dogs”!!!!!! Cause they sure can get in trouble; like the day they used the recliner, the book shelf, the divider bar, the craft table, the desk, & the office chair for a race track!! What a mess!!!!!!!!

Gary Larson referred to a “nest of weiner dogs” in one of his cartoons.

If that’s not a good enough endorsement, then how about a ‘cute’ of dachshunds? For the puppies especially, it’s appropriate.

How about a ‘cute’ of dachshunds, especially puppies? Gary Larson made reference to a “nest” of weiner dogs in one of his cartoons.
